The Athlete was registered in the Armenian “Dyutsaznagirk” (Armenian Record Book), then his name appeared in the Guinness Book of Records, but he is not going to be limited to that. His goal is to set an absolute record.
“At the moment I'm working on new elements. Particularly, I'm working on tiger fold, it's a very sophisticated exercise, the record has been 12 times, I have to do it 13 times.”
“I will try to become the author of 10 records this year at any cost,” - says Mamoyan.
Manvel Mamoyan was engaged in sports at the age of 10, at the beginning he went into judo and then Greco-Roman wrestling.
At the age of 17, Manvel had 11 records in Armenia.
Two years after the end of the 2015-2016 military service, Manvel set a Guinness record in Armenia on October 23, 2015.
He is the author of more than 20 records in Armenia and three - in the Guinness World Records. It is true that it was not easy to appear in the Guinness Book of Records. The initial attempts were unsuccessful, as some mistakes were made, but the athlete managed to overcome everything and register new victories.
“I dedicated my first record to the victims of the Genocide and the other to the memory of the heroes of the four-day war. With such a step, I can tackle these important issues somewhere in the international press. Whenever a record is set, the media mentions it and provides details about the record,” - says Manvel Mamoyan.
Currently, the athlete is in the Russian Federation.
Together with a multi-record holder with Aharon Virabyan he has found Danger Workout team in Moscow to have a variety of sports events and develop a street workout.
Gradually strong athletes will join the team.
In parallel, he works as a fitness blogger at www.manvelmamoyan.com, sharing his advice with many people. Frequently makes videos by means of which it tries to inspire people.
Mamoyan adds that he wants to become the absolute hero of Guinness World Records. It will take about 10 years to get it. In 2019, he has already sent 5 records in the Guinness Book Commission, including a plan action with a 100-pound bag.
Most of all one man has managed to set 191 records. He is convinced that this data can be overcome and more can be achieved.
