The Film "Portrait of a Conductor" was Shown in Yerevan
Mezzo TV has shot a 25-minute film about the conductor of the Armenian State Symphonic Orchestra Sergey Smbatyan. It was shown on June 7 at CinemaPark. The film is called "Portrait of a Conductor", which shows the musician's career, from the first concert to the State Symphonic Orchestra of Armenia and performances on different stages of the world.

"Mezzo's responsibility is to show the world talented artists. This film has been shown in 60 countries and will be shown for five years more,” - said Konstantin Pankrazi, Mezzo TV's co-operation and development manager.

The film was shot in Germany in 2018. At that time, Sergey Smbatyan had a joint concert with the Maltese Philharmonic Orchestra in the Berlin Philharmonic.

"When I was 18, I realized that the conduct was my dream profession," - says Sergey Smbatyan in the film.

Let's add also that Serge Smbatyan is the first Armenian conductor to have a documentary by Mezzo TV.
