The film of French production "The Magnificent Era" tells the story of an organization that provides such services: they thoroughly reconstruct the customer's preferred era, thus moving it to the past.
One of the clients of the organization is a talented French artist who in this part of his life has problems with his beloved wife. He uses this opportunity to relive the day when he first met the love of his life years ago. The painter Victor wants to move to the 1970s, when he was 20 years old, in a strange but captivating journey filled with love for his future wife.

The world premiere of the film took place on May 20, 2019 at the Cannes Film Festival. On July 12, it was screened at the Odessa International Film Festival, September 6 at the Hamburg Film Festival, and September 7 at the Toronto Film Festival. On September 13, The Magnificent Era was screened for the first time in the Netherlands as part of a film festival called "Film by the Sea". The film premiered on October 3 in Zurich, Switzerland. It will go on sale in Russia on November 28.
Peter Debrugh, of Variety, an American media company, writes of the film that in these times when there are many romantic comedies with their own ideas and sayings, "The Magnificent Era" reminds people why and how we fall in love first. Todd McCarthy of the Hollywood Reporter, in turn, gave a positive assessment to the film, calling it "a cute, sexy and original romantic comedy."
